Conference Location

The conference will take place in the Community Arts Auditorium (plenary sessions) and McGregor Conference Center (parallel sessions) on the main campus of Wayne State University.

The conference location is about 2 min walk from the Towers (WSU dormitory where many conference participants will stay) and 5 min walk from the parking structures. Besides the Student Center and University cafeterias in the Towers, many resaturants are located within the walking distance from the conference location. The map will be available here.

Wayne State University

Wayne State University is Michigan's only urban research university, located in the heart of Detroit's University Cultural Center.

Most of Detroit's cultural attractions are located within walking distance of WSU campus.  These include The Detroit Institute of Arts (http://www.dia.org/), The Detroit Historical Museum (http://www.detroithistorical.org/), The New Detroit Science Center (http://www.detroitsciencecenter.org/), Museum of African-American History (http://www.maah-detroit.com), as well as several others (see http://www.detroit.com).

Other interesting (but not nearby) cultural attractions include The Henry Ford (museum of automotive history), Detroit Zoo, Edsel Ford House, etc.
